Lingerie has the ability to make any woman feel more confident and sexy. Regardless of your body shape, there are lingerie styles and tricks to flatter your figure and enhance your self-esteem for your boudoir shoot, and your bedroom!

I have to say my go-to lingerie for any figure is the bodysuit/teddy! Not only are there a variety of cuts, colors and fabrics, but they are easy to find and very affordable in most cases! I have found several beautiful pieces on amazon. Now lets get into your body shape and some do's and don'ts!

Hourglass Shape

If you have an hourglass figure, you have a defined waistline with balanced bust and hip measurements. Embrace your curves with:

• Corsets and bustiers: These accentuate your waist and highlight your natural curves.

• High-leg panties: They emphasize your small waist and showcase your hips.

• Balconette bras: Provide lift and support while showcasing your décolletage.

• Bodysuits: Highlight your curves from top to bottom, creating a seamless silhouette.

• Garter-belt and stockings: lets showcase those curves!

Avoid:

• Babydoll: These items add bulk and hide your small waist!

• boy shorts: don't hide those hips, girl!

Apple Shape

Apple-shaped bodies are characterized by broader shoulders and a fuller midsection. Focus on:

• Deep-V bras: Create the illusion of a longer torso and provide ample support.

• High-cut and high waisted panties: Elongate your legs and draw the eye upward.

• Bodysuits or a teddy with a high cut leg so you can pop those hips and elongate the your legs!

Avoid:

• Babydoll: These items add bulk, I know it seems like it would hide your areas you may want to hide, but they do quite the opposite!

Pear Shape

Pear-shaped bodies have narrower shoulders and a fuller lower body. Opt for lingerie that balances your proportions:

• Push-up bras: Enhance your bust and create symmetry with your hips. But e sure your bra fits well!

• Thong or bikini bottoms: Show off your curves while minimizing attention to your hips.

• Bodysuits or a teddy with a high cut leg so you can pop those hips and elongate the your legs!

Avoid:

• Babydoll: The extra fabric will sit on your hips and make you appear to have a fuller midsection.

• garter-belts and thigh high stockings: This isn't a hard no, but often times they will keep the focus on your lower half and not balance you out!

• Bralette: they often have think bands that will cut your torso off and further hide your chest.

Rectangle Shape

If your body has a rectangular shape with minimal curves

• Lace lingerie sets: Add texture and detail to create the illusion of curves.

• Bustier tops: Enhance your bust while defining your waist.

• Corset-style bras: Provide a structured look that emphasizes your figure.

• Garter belts: Give the appearance of a curvier silhouette by drawing attention to your hips.

• High leg panties

Avoid:

• Babydoll: These items add bulk and frankly don't photograph well!

• Halter top or racerback style bras

Inverted Triangle Shape

Inverted triangle bodies have broad shoulders and a narrower lower body.

• Bralettes with lace detailing: Draw attention to your lower body.

• A bodysuit or teddy with A-line cuts: Balance your proportions and showcase your legs.

• Bra and panty set with garter-belt and stockings

Avoid:

• corset tops

• Halter top or racerback style bras

A silk robe is always a sexy, timeless look for boudoir! A sweater, his shirt or a white tee and undies are always a slam dunk as well, Whatever makes you feel sexy and confident is always ideal.
