What to wear for a boudoir session in Naples, FL.

I hear it ALL the time! "I want to do a shoot but I wouldn't even know what to wear for a boudoir session!" In fact, I just heard it from a lovely woman who was interested in booking a session, but the process of choosing what to wear was overwhelming her!

Where do you even start when shopping for what to wear for a boudoir session?

As far as underwear, should you bring thongs or boy shorts? Cheekies or bikinis? There’s definitely a difference in each type of panty!

Let's simplify shopping!

This is where I come in. I LOVE lingerie, and I love shopping.

I’ve been a boudoir photographer for over six years now. I’ve learned all the tips and tricks for what to wear (and what NOT to wear) for a boudoir session.

I know what looks good on every body type (remember that blog I mentioned earlier? I'll link it again here... just in case!) skin type, and hair color. You’re in great hands!

What to wear for a Boudoir session??

I think choosing the right thing to wear is mostly about building your confidence and showing your personality more than anything. I like to focus on choosing timeless pieces so you can look back in 10-20-30 years and not think "I looked amazing! But why did I wear THAT to my boudoir shoot?"

With that being said, Here are. a few quick suggestions that work for every woman!

Bodysuits are great because they not only hold you in nice and tight, but they also show off the beautiful shape of your body in the most flattering way.

Adding a sheer or silky robe really comes in handy if you want a bit more detail. They also give the allure of mystery! Robes give a little more coverage while still being sexy!

What about shoes?

High heels are always a game-changer when talking about the length of your legs. They lengthen the leg, lift your booty a little, and always look sexy!

I like classic black... it's so versatile!

I really love nude heels for a little extra lengthening of the legs as well!

If you're like me and can't really walk in heels anymore (thanks bunion, ugh) don't worry!! You'll do very little walking in them!

So, Get yourself a pair! You can ask me (or a girlfriend) to borrow some! Just make sure they are clean and fit you well!

How about a few more ideas?

If this is a gift for that special person in your life, steal a button-up shirt, suit jacket, tie, favorite hat, etc! This look in a boudoir shoot is always a slam dunk with men!

Are you a bride? White is always fun for bridal lingerie. I also love bringing your veil in for the shoot! (don't worry! We will be SO careful with it!)

And, of course, black is ALWAYS classy, timeless, and can be very flattering.
